J C F: Chicago, United States; My ING New York City Marathon 2012 training blog and self-support system. I entered the lottery to run it because New York City is the most romantic place in the world and running 26.2 miles there might be the closest that I ever get. The title is inspired by Woody Allen's opening to his film 'Manhattan.' To the howl of 'Rhapsody in Blue,' he says of NYC that he 'romanticized it all out of proportion,' that it's 'still a town that existed in black & white and pulsated to the great tunes of George Gershwin,' and that he is 'as tough and romantic as the city he loved.'
